Receiving Clerk
Job Title: Receiving Clerk
Reports to: Office & Accounting Manager
Job Summary: The Receiving Clerk is responsible for all receiving, outsourcing, trucking, service, and internal inventory needs.
Job Description:
· Receiving
o Efficiently unload all incoming trucks
o Validate receipt quantities
o Maintain warehouse organization
o Record all raw material receivers
· Outsourcing
o Control product flow to and from outsource suppliers
o Monitor inventory levels and process releases
o Process shippers/receivers for all transactions
o Communicate with suppliers (expedites, production status, work schedule, etc.)
· Trucking
o Schedule internal and external shipments/pick-ups with outsource suppliers
o Schedule, monitor, and track miscellaneous material and supply pick-ups using J.G. Kern trucking
· Service
o Monitor customer releases, inventory, and production to meet customer needs
· Inventory
o Monitor casting and component inventory to be aware of potential issues
o Complete monthly counts for components
Job Requirements:
· Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and logistics operations
· Close attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to problem solve
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to analyze and report data
· Ability to work as a team across departments and push accountability
· Ability to work in a flexible fast-paced, team-oriented environment
· Strong computer/Microsoft Office skills
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years’ experience in logistics/shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment
